This is the first entry of a blog that I've toyed with writing time and again.  At various times over the years, I've referred to myself as "The Intrepid Traveler", during various inner monologues, though usually it's laced with a hint of irony.  I consider myself to be many things, but intrepid is rarely at the top of the list (happenstance or coincidental might be more accurate). 

The impetus pushing me to do it at this time is based in necessity; I'm departing for a two month trip to India in less than four days, and posting images and short writing to this forum is much easier than staying connected to friends and family via email or even Facebook. While there, I will complete a month-long artist residency at Sanskriti Foundation in New Delhi and travel/visit with Suraj's family.
