Week one - this week was probably the best possible scenario for the start of our trip. This is the first entry of a blog that I've toyed with writing time and again.  At various times over the years, I've referred to myself as "The Intrepid Traveler", during various inner monologues, though usually it's laced with a hint of irony.  I consider myself to be many things, but intrepid is rarely at the top of the list (happenstance or coincidental might be more accurate).
