Fabricated Landscapes is the most recent iteration of a larger body of work grounded in my experiences living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and influenced by subsequent travels to Central America and South Asia. I am fascinated by the fabric hanging to dry on rooftops, balconies, courtyards, and any improvised space available. The inevitable connection to nature, rooted in practicality and convenience, speaks to a way of life that America has largely left behind. Memory, light and fabric have become consistent subject matter for me; I started collecting these images in north India, and have continued since my return.
