Each fall, Remington Neighborhood throws a one-of-a-kind block party to celebrate Halloween - Hauntingdon! The 2900 block of Remington Ave is taken over by street performers, a live band (featuring Ricky Ls Ricci, a local musician, and his son Lennon), a kid-powered costume parade, giant puppets, a Haunted House, and general merriment! 20 - 30 community members host different crafts and activities on their porches where children can stop by toe trick or treat and play games!
In 2010, I volunteered to run a porch activity; in 2011 and 2012 I was one of the main organizers. We have over 250 visitors and over 30 volunteers who help make the event possible each year!
