In August 2012, I spent a week painting murals with children at the Hearts for Honduras School (Corazones Para Honduras) in La Entrada, Honduras with children 2nd - 6th grade.
The initial mural is based on a two page spread from the children's book, Love Grows, which I was commissioned to illustrate for the organization (see Illustrations and Paintings for the complete project). The second mural was one I designed while I was at the school. In English, it says, "At our school...we play, we pray and we learn." As a Christian school, the focus is on providing a religious as well as academic education.
