This series is a collection of photos taken during my travels in Nicaragua. They are not bound by a particular theme, but together are meant to give insight into a specific feeling or sense of place that I felt in a given moment.
Where the Street Meets the Sky

The sky in Nicaragua is unlike any I've seen. Billowing clouds announced an incoming rain storm or framed dramatic sunsets; feathers of fog wisped over the mountains, or crept down their sides in a mist reminiscent of a fairy tale's forbidden haunts. Regardless of what my daily activities were, it was impossible for me to ignore the vast space overhead.
Fabric Series I

Fabric has fascinated me almost as long as I've been taking pictures. These photos explore the small courtyard at our hostel where the staff hung out laundry each day to dry. Such a mundane activity was for me truly beautiful, and I loved watching the fabric dry in the sun and move with the wind.
